Billa (Tamil: ) is a forthcoming high budget Tamil film directed by Vishnuvardhan.[1] The film is produced by L.Suresh,[2] son of Balaji. His father produced the film, Billa which this is a remake of the Rajinikanth starrer Billa which was a remake of the Hindi film, Don.
The film is set to be released on Diwali 2007. the movie. The film stars Ajith and Nayanthara, and is directed by Vishnuvardhan. Ajith plays two roles in the movie: a don and a road side dancer. His other female lead is actress Namitha. Prakashraj and Prabhu are featured in supporting roles. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film's release is originally scheduled for Diwali, 2007. It is set to be released in box offices in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh.
Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara[3] are confirmed to act in the film. Shriya Saran, Reema Sen, Bhanu, Namitha and Trisha Krishnan were considered for other roles in the film, however Namitha was picked.[3] Yuvan Shankar Raja[3] is set to compose the music for this film and a couple of old numbers are going to be remixed. The film is set for release in late 2007. Shooting will start after Ajith Kumar's next project, Kireedom[3] is completed.
